The Research and Enterprise Office (REO) supports the delivery of the University’s research, knowledge exchange and enterprise activities and provides a central contact point for businesses and other external organisations wishing to access expertise and services at Bangor. The technology transfer and commercialisation team focuses on the identification, management and exploitation of Bangor’s intellectual property.  IP and expertise is available for commercialisation in a broad range of areas including the following:

  • optoelectronics
  • photovoltaics (DSC and OPV)
  • plant derived natural chemicals
  • disease detection
  • targeted drug delivery
  • automation of language translation
  • haptic interfaces
  • big data
  • environmental sciences
