About The Opportunity:
A new psychology and technology-based company has been successfully spun out from Bangor University School of Psychology. Attention Retraining Technologies (ART) Ltd is a commercial entity with a public health focus, producing evidence-based behaviour change games for mobile devices. The company’s guiding mission is to become the world’s foremost creator of behaviour-change games based on laboratory-proven methods of attention retraining. ChimpShop, a game for mobile devices, that is scientifically proven to reduce the consumption of alcohol for those that play it regularly. This is avaialble for Apple and Android devices. Development of ChimpShop was funded through Phase 1 and Phase 2 SBRI grants awarded by NHS London.
The University is seeking collaborative partners to develop the research and its exploitation through ART Ltd. We are keen to develop games to reduce other addcitive behaviours, for example, unhealthy eating or smoking. If your organisation is interested in partnering on this please contact us.
